Why Pursue A Career In Aerospace?
The aerospace industry employs some of the best and brightest minds in Manitoba.
Manitoba is home to a highly skilled workforce that is nationally recognized for its prairie work ethic.
Established in 1992, the Manitoba Aerospace Human Resources Co-ordinating Committee (MAHRCC) assists industry and educational institutions to develop and deliver training for existing and prospective employees. Partnering with federal and provincial departments and industry, MAHRCC co-ordinates secondary and post-secondary students' access to training to meet the needs of local aerospace companies.
Manitoba has built a highly-sophisticated training infrastructure that is unparalleled in Canada. Since 1992 the Federal and Provincial Governments and Industry, in partnership, have invested over $40 million in Manitoba aerospace training programs. The results have been remarkable with over 600 courses completed and over 6,000 persons trained.
Responding to the growing needs of local companies such as Aveos, a new facility will provide licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training.
