Engineers and Technologists

Structural Analysis
Performs structural analysis ranging in complexity from hand calculations to finite element analysis; relating to strength, deflection, damage tolerance, durability, design allowables development, fatigue and stability of aerospace structures using metallic or composite structural materials. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and/or be registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of Manitoba (APEGM) or equivalent organization.

Structural Design
Performs conceptual and detail design for aerospace metallic and composite parts to meet structural criteria; providing quality design practices using 3D relational design (Catia V5) and ensuring cost and weight optimization.  Working closely with manufacturing, ensures producible designs and supports field service issues as required.

Material & Process Technology
Provides material & process expertise for new and existing technologies, products, derivatives, or improvements to existing processes and products, by defining, directing or performing technical and economic studies for mechanical, physical and chemical properties.

Qualified candidates for Structural Design and Material & Process Technology will have a Technologist Diploma and/or a Certified Engineering Technologist Designation. Engineering placements must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and/or be registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of Manitoba (APEGM) or equivalent organization.

Program Management
Coordinates the analysis, definition and planning activities associated with new programs, including preparation and documentation of statement of work, scheduling, program costs, and configuration control. Responsible for all 787 program change and schedule commitments. Qualified candidates should have experience within the manufacturing industry utilizing engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to assist in developing optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the fabrication of products. Prefer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Project Management Professional Designation, Technologist Diploma and/or  a Certified Engineering Technologist Designation.

Schedulers

Establishes, maintains and/or supports the production build plan for a series of manufactured or procured items. Creates and maintains schedules for both internal manufacturing and external suppliers by balancing supply and demand utilizing the principles of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII). Qualified candidates will be experienced in using Microsoft software and scheduling software products including Project, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Milestone, Primavera and CINCOM would be considered an asset.  Formal training in project management process also considered an asset.
