Manitoba Aerospace Presents the 2009
“Award of Excellence” Recognition to Industry Partners

The Manitoba Aerospace Association (MAA), along with the Manitoba Aerospace Human Resources Coordinating Committee (MAHRCC) held the 8th annual Aerospace All-Stars Awards Banquet on November 19th, 2009 to acknowledge three recipients for their achievements in the aerospace industry.

This annual event nominates two industry members and an educational partner involved in or with the aerospace industry who have demonstrated excellence in a variety of areas from leadership to business growth. The 2009 "Award of Excellence" winners, who were nominated by their industry peers, are:

Wire Dtrike Protection System Team – Bristol Aerospace
– Excellence in Team Work and Innovation

Darrell Cole – Career Trek
- Excellence for Entrepreneurship in Career Development for Youth

StandardAero
- Excellence in Innovation Process Improvements and Business Practices

"The Annual All-Stars dinner is an ideal forum for recognizing contributions to our aerospace community," said Paul Heide, President of the Manitoba Aerospace Association.

"Today's event supports the Manitoba Aerospace Student Endowment Fund. Through the generous support of individuals, companies and organizations over the past year, this fund has helped five deserving students. Ultimately, this endowment fund will be a win-win situation – larger numbers of students will be able to benefit from specialized schooling, and the number of high quality young people in the aerospace industry will also increase. All of this together will only serve to strengthen our industry."
